Thoughts, Products, Tips, and Research to help you nurture your Littlest from BellytoBeloved
There has been a lot of excitement in our household this week due to my husband and I becoming an uncle and aunt! While it's oh so fun to visit newborns and congratulate their parents it can also be draining on a new mom to constantly have people flooding her home. So, I thought I'd share some tips for you new mommas to send along to friends and family before your little one arrives! Think about trying at least one of these creative ideas to help out the new momma in your life! How'd it go?? Can you think of anything else they are missing?? xo, btbeloved Photo by Molly Decoudreaux, on MotherMag.com

During my training with Allied Birth Professions, through Bastyr's Simkin Center, we watched a short video called “Birth by the Numbers,” presented by Gene Declercq, PhD. While, I am no numbers gal, I loved the video and felt it was one I could really understand and be excited to learn from. With that said, last evening I encouraged my, numbers loving, husband to watch the updated version with me. We loved it! It was one of those experiences that reaches at things we both enjoy. I know that it can be tough at times to help husbands get as excited about the pregnancy and birth, in the way mom's sometimes are. Just saying, maybe this video is worth a try if your husband loves numbers, like mine does but either way, there are some important updates about how the US is doing with rates of Cesareans, VBACs, and how Perinatal/Neonatal and maternal outcomes for mom and baby have changed over the last few years. I'd love to hear what you think! Love these birthstone necklaces, for all you mommas! As it is infant pregnancy loss awareness day, the owner is having a SAVETEN sale. What a sweet a gift for someone you love? http://rebekahgough.bigcartel.com/product/teeny-tiny-birthstone-necklace It's that time a year again and I cannot believe how quickly this past month has flown. It seemed like only a week or two since my last post and yet... it's almost been four!
I'm excited to announce some changes in my fee as well as a sneak peak at some items I'd like to add soon! I've been blessed to be part of three lovely births and can now complete my certification process. It'll still be about two until I finish this process but I am looking forward to completing it with DONA International! I'm excited about the potential of overseas use with this particular certification and of course happy it's recognized here in the states as well. With that said, I am moving into a a sliding scale with my fee and am happy to chat over what that will look like for couples in future. I still hope to be in a price friendly range because I love doing this job and want to be available to those in a potentially lower bracket as well as those who may be able to afford more for my services. Anyways, enough with the $$. I'm excited for these coming months with the holidays! I mean how can you not be when you're in a baby business and babies have the cutest halloween and holiday outfits around! Plus I've just been gushing over the baby goods as I'm stocking up on gifts for my new niece or nephew. While, I wish I could share all of the items I found, you'll have to wait because they are gifts still. However, there is one gift I can show as it is a sneak peek at line of baby mobiles that I hope to begin selling, on here, in November!! Check back then or send me a note if you are interested!
